RAM Energy - the power of choice

RAM Energy Announcement

Robin Hood Energy, our supply license partner, have recently announced that they’ve agreed a sale of their business to British Gas. Please see the announcement for more details

Since 6th October we've been pretty busy at RAM Energy, trying to save money for as many people possible on their energy bills, alongside delivering excellent customer service. In only 3 months we've already begun supplying energy to over 1,000 meter points, which is a a fantastic feat and one weire excited to build on in the coming months. Due to this success we're launching a new tariff, RAM Energy Fixed Plus Extra, to help more people save money on their energy bills!

In September 2017, Ofgem found 57% of customers using the largest ten energy suppliers were on poor-value standard variable tariffs. That's around 13 million customers paying more for their energy with no additional benefits! In comparison, RAM Energy has less than 2% of customers on standard variable tariffs because we don't want our customers paying more for their energy when they don't need too.

Our new tariff, RAM Energy Fixed Plus Extra, could save you up to £180.04 a year if you are currently on an average 'Big 6' standard variable tariff*. ‌

Key Features

  • 18 month fixed tariff - to give you price protection for longer in a changing energy market.
  • When the tariff ends customers will move onto the cheapest tariff without an exit fee, and not to a poorer-value standard variable tariff (SVT) as per the industry standard which ends up costing you, the customer, money.
  • Easy switching from your current provider.

Like all our tariffs, RAM Energy Fixed Plus Extra is available for everyone across the Midlands.

The biggest difference with our new tariff - you don't move onto a poorer-value Standard Variable Tariff at the end!

Switching to RAM Energy couldn't be simpler - we've created a step-by-step guide to help you on your way to Switch and Save with The Power of Choice.

RAM Energy is a not-for-profit energy provider launched by Derby City Council in partnership with Robin Hood Energy with the main aim of tackling fuel poverty.
